ENGLAND 4 MONTENEGRO 0 - ASH WILL SCORE !!
| Posted on October 4, 2010 at 4:06 PM |
Ashley Young and Stephen Warnock have both been called up by Fabio Capello for England's upcoming Euro 2012 qualifying clash with Montenegro. Young has been in stunning form for Villa in his new role as a second striker, wowing crowds with his dynamic displays in claret and blue.
Houllier has switched Young to a positon just behind the central forward and the 25-year-old has certainly excelled.
As well as his standout performances, he is also Villa's joint top scorer, after finding the net against Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves.
Warnock has been solid and reliable as always at left-back and will be thrilled to return to the squad, after missing out on the three internationals since his World Cup involvement.
Bolton forward Kevin Davies is called up for the first time by Capello, joining Darren Bent, Peter Crouch and Wayne Rooney among the attacking options.
In midfield Jack Wilshere has been named in both the senior squad and Stuart Pearce's England U21s.
Capello's men take on Montenegro at Wembley on Tuesday October 12 in their third qualifying game ahead of the finals in Poland and Ukraine.
The Three Lions beat Bulgaria 4-0 at Wembley in their first match and Switzerland 3-1 in Basle in their second and will be looking to make it a hat-trick next week.

Former Leeds United and Aston Villa manager David O'Leary has been appointed the new manager of United Arab Emirates club Al Ahli.
O'Leary has been out of work since leaving Villa Park in July 2006 and has now taken a job that both Harry Redknapp and Mark Hughes have been linked with in recent months.
O'Leary, who steered Leeds to the Champions League semi-finals in 2001, will manage Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro at the ambitious Pro League side.
Mark Bell, the club's sporting director, said: "We can confirm that David O'Leary, a former Premier League manager with Champions League experience, has agreed to become the new coach of Al Ahli Football Club."
O'Leary, Arsenal's all-time record appearance holder was appointed Leeds manager in 1998 and established the club as a force in the Premier League, even topping the table going into the new millennium.
But the club collapsed under financial mismanagement and O'Leary departed before their relegation in 2004.

CLUBS across the West Midlands stand to play a big part in the 2018 World Cup if England and Birmingham’s bids to host the tournament succeed.
As well as Aston Villa’s role as host, other clubs would be asked to provide private and public training grounds for teams based in the city and those travelling to Birmingham to play matches.
In line to provide facilities are the Premier League clubs Birmingham, Wolves, Albion and Stoke.
But smaller clubs have also been included.
Walsall’s Banks’ Stadium and Shrewsbury Town’s Prostar Stadium have also been lined up to welcome travelling teams.
Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium will also be used during the contest.
